The Sunshine Camping Trip « Thread Started on May 18, 2008, 8:39pm »
Date and Time: Mid-August, 2:00PM Setting: Outside the Immen Academy Weather Conditions: High 95 degree and sunny with no wind. Continued from Thread: N/A
The air is hot and damp. There is a strong odor of old, rusted metal hovering in the air. The moving piece of box shaped into a tunnel rumbles and roars. It bumps too often and it is terribly uncomfortable, especially for one with a delicate butt.
Circe absolutely hates riding in a bus!
That wasn’t the only thing she disliked. Sitting in front of the row of seats filled with chattering students behind her, she sat with her legs and arms crossed, her left eyebrow arched with a pair of bright emerald eyes glaring at the origin of her discomfort; the bus driver.
Old and wrinkly! He should be in one of those homes!
As she continued to watch, she noticed something else about the bus driver.
Dear mother of Ares! He’s actually squinting at the roads ahead of him!
Her eyes were wide in disbelief until she realized she was simply overreacting. After all, they’ve been in the bus, riding for more than two hours already. They should be nearing the destination. The best part of all…
At least we haven’t gotten ourselves into a bus crash…
She continued to watch the bus driver who appeared to be completely oblivious to her staring. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes squinting even more than before.
…yet.
She released a sigh and glanced over her shoulders to watch the students behind her. Apparently, they’re all seemed to have fun, although some appeared to be quiet and others simply just not in a good mood?
With the shake of her head, she turned her attention back on the road, with the sole intention to ensure that there will be no fatalities on the road. At the very least, she soon noticed that they were near their destination at last. It is now only five minutes away after she saw the sign that said:
Welcome to Sunshine Forest! Please enjoy your stay!

Camping trips.
It always seemed to be loads of fun. Or at least that was her opinion. She wasn’t all to certain about others, but the simple fact of not sleeping in a dorm and being able to get away from her studies (in which she still probably greatly detested) had greatly pleased her. It was the perfect time for a getaway! While she was perfectly fine about sleeping in doors, the thought of being cooped up in a room for quite some time had simply bothered her. And the fact of studying had bothered her even more, since she had already been done with school….centuries ago!
While other students had been jumping from place to place and talking with other students, Mitsuko had simply kept her distance, and sat in the middle row of the bus. She enjoyed the laughter of others as well as the constant communication, but her main focus had been what was outside. From what she could remember, she had only been to two places this planet, and she was more so curious on what else there had been. The surroundings had seemed to interest her most, and she alone had been rather excited about being able to go on a camping trip rather than be kept indoors.
Her hair had been tied up in a ponytail for once, but that alone began to amuse her as she hadn’t remembered the last time she wore a ponytail. They hadn’t necessarily been pigtails like she had always worn, but rather just one simple ponytail held by a gold barrette. She had actually worn a pair of jean shorts, as well as a classic tank top shirt. Her shoes had just been a simple pair of white sneakers, not necessarily stylish at all. Her face however, had seemed to be covered in makeup as normal. It seemed to be a constant thing, but she wasn’t necessarily worried. Or was she? That she would merely keep to herself, not wanting to start such a commotion as her main focus for this event had been her surroundings and this camping trip.
The thought of eating yummy marshmallows by the campfire and telling ghost stories and getting scared out of her wits began to seem rather fun to her. Fun. When was the last time she had that?
She shrugged her shoulders, only to notice the sign in which they had just passed. She quickly raised her body a tad from her seat, getting a tad excited that they had almost been there.

The rolling wheels of a rusted piece of junk squeezed to a stop, startling Gabriela back to the real world, away from the sleeping realm. Her hazel eyes blinked and refocused at her surrounding, and noticed that they were finally at their destination. She had been asleep during the ride, thankfully without any intrusion from the usual bullies. It was only at this time that the bullies were in a second bus right behind the bus she was in.
This meant she had only moments of peace during the ride until they reached the destination.
And the destination is here, regrettably.
She released a sigh, followed by a yawn, releasing her hold on a small squared pillow nestled on her stomach. She was resting sideway on the seat, which meant she had the whole seat to herself. It seemed that most of the others had not bothered to sit by her, as she clearly could not communicate like everyone else.
It didn’t bother her in the least.
Minutes later, she watched the students got up and proceed to get off the bus. She did the same, only to carry her pillow with her. After all, most of the stuff she had was on the fourth bus which was loaded with all of the student’s belonging. As she stepped down from the bus, she looked around for the fourth bus.
Apparently, it hadn’t arrived just yet.
She stood alone; watching the crowd of students formed their own groups. She merely walked away from the crowd and stood by a tree and leaned against it as she hugged her pillow. She could be interacting with them right now, just like any other normal student. But then again, she didn’t feel like socializing just this moment.

Standing among the crowd of students, Shelar scanned the environment with muted silence. There was no expression on her face as she did not register any sign of pleasure of being here on a school trip. In fact, she didn’t want to attend this particular event and would had found a way to avoid it, had not her guardian butt in and demand that she go anyways.
The mere thought of her guardian brought a slight grimace to her face. Yet, immediately, she wiped it off her face, knowing that Noura would question her anyways. Actually, Noura would know already by now. That’s the way she is, always into everyone’s mind, but never spoke a word about it, except the only thing she speaks about is what goes on in Shelar’s mind.
She shook her head, eliminating the thought from her head. Her attention was on the forest. Her chin tilted slightly ever more as she detected that something was out there. She noticed that the things she sensed; some were friendly and some were definitely not.
Oh well, let the students deal with it.
She simply shrugged and crossed her arms behind the back of her head. She was garbed in her casual wear. This part of the camping trip was probably the only good thing; wear your own clothes and not your student uniform. Of course, one had to be reasonable enough to figure out what outfit to wear on this camping trip. If she spot a student wearing high heels, then she’ll call that student an idiot.
And hope anyone wearing a heel create holes for us to put seeds in…
She chuckled at the thought until one of the other student caught her attention, questioning why she laughed. She grinned innocently and waved a hand, “it’s nothing. Just a thought is all.”

Sachiko glanced outside of the window, as they slowly passed the place where they would be camping. She was looking forward to this trip.
It would be the first time in a while that she got outside of the building that she now knew as home, and it would also be the first time in a while that she would be able to finally get to know people better other than by tripping up or almost falling onto people's laps!
She really couldn't wait for the trip, however, she felt a little nervous, because she was worried about the creatures in the forest and what they would do for food and such, but she had been in the forests before and survived.. so why would this be any different?
'Sunshine', she thought, 'It sounds all too peaceful'

Camping! How exciting! This trip would be the perfect opportunity for Jamila to get herself out there to the rest of the students. Making tons of friends was something that had always been high on Jamila's list of priorities. Why should now be any different just because she discovered that she was a senshi? If anything, enrolling in Immen brought forward more opportunities than ever to get to know new people. Especially people with the same talents as herself.
I hope these girls aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.
If they were, this camping trip would definitely be a nightmare for them. Jamila pictured a few snobby, stuck up girls trudging through the dirt and freaking out because they got a bit of it between their French manicured toes. A soft giggle escaped from her lips as Jamila glanced at the girls occupying the space around her. It was amusing to try to figure out which of these girls would act like that.
As the bus she was on came to a halt, Jamila wasted no time in rising to her feet and hopping off the bus. A wide grin was spread across her lips as she glanced around at the surrounding forest. This is beautiful.. So peaceful. That is, peaceful as long as she didn't have a bunch of complaining brats in her immediate proximity.
Jamila stretched a bit before moving away from the bus, glancing at the girls over her shoulder as they filed out of the vehicle. Silently, she fished around in the pocket of her jean shorts until her fingers closed around a thin black hair tie. Pulling it out, Jamila raked her curly red hair through her fingers and tied it up high onto her head.

Not everyone looked forward to the camping trip, especially not one young Karasu, who stumbled off the bus as soon as the doors opened and made for the nearest bush with a face green as the trees and nature they were supposed to be enjoying. It wasn’t the most flattering image of her, and only last minute did she think of turning away to hide her face in embarrassment as she emptied out the little she’d managed to eat during the ride into the bush.
What was it about buses that made them so much worse than regular transportation? Give her a transportation spell or anything else instead. Short dark hair was clipped back, thankfully, as her bangs clung to her damp forehead. Bus-sickness made her more pale than normal as she gasped for breath, bent over the bush with her eyes closed. How humiliating that she, senshi of destruction, with the power to take out this entire world, couldn’t handle a single bus ride. And she’d actually been looking forward to this trip.
Never before had she been camping. She’d been too weak as the girl Tomoe Hotaru, and after that too busy with senshi duties. She’d dressed appropriately, in her white denim shorts and a dark purple tank top, black bandana tied around her neck and sunglasses perched on her head to compliment the outfit. She’d packed her bag accordingly and had enough sunscreen to survive a trip into the star (not really). She’d been prepared. And then she’d been sick.
Sinking to a leafy seat at the base of a tree, Karasu hugged her knees to her chest and rested her head on it, willing the sickness to go away. This was a horrible way to begin a trip, by polluting a bush moments after she’d arrived with whatever contents had been in her stomach. The acid burned her throat a little as she swallowed hard, then realized it was just the beginning of a second wave.

When they had arrived it seemed to put a whole new picture in for Mitsuko. She enjoyed the bus ride simply because she was capable of seeing the rest of Immen, and seeing the different types of people that lived on the planet. Though when the bus had finally come to a stop Mitsuko put a frown on her face, she missed it when the bus was moving and seeing the people passing by!
As Mitsuko would finally get up from her seat, Mitsuko would cross her hands over one another, she seemed to almost be in a form of slump. While she wasn’t fully aware of the planets surroundings especially as to what may take place in a forest, she knew that the city had more excitement than a simple forest. Or did it? She finally got off the bus and headed down the steps, only to place her hands behind her head and stand on her tiptoes and tried to stand up as high as she could. But alas, she was still short even after having been thousands of years old!
She would have thought that after having been so old that she would have at least gotten a little taller. But sadly her dreams of being tall had seemed too ended when she had stopped growing. Though just from thinking of such Mitsuko would begin to form a small giggle.
Looking towards the bus as she’d watch the others get off she began to wonder if it was possible to be able to sleep on the bus rather than sleeping in a tent. Sure she was fine in sleeping in a tent, but she needed a place to change without others around….even if she had to change outside in the woods! There were some things on her back in which she did not want to reveal.
Hopefully if we do share tents….I can change first and it’ll be with people I know!

There wasn’t much to do, and students still plowed themselves out of the bus, even though it had been only just five minutes. She surveyed the surrounding and noticed that one or more other teachers were already into a group discussion on their own while; one fiery-looking woman was watching the students with her arms crossed. That look on her expression was enough to tell her that she’s got eyes and she wasn’t about to miss any tell-tale signs.
A quick flash of a young girl out the corner of her eyes was enough for her to turn her attention on the girl. She noticed that the girl was deathly pale and it worried her. She felt the need to help her out and also felt the need to stay put in her place. Her hazel eyes narrowed as she decided that she was going to help, whether the girl liked it or not. With the gentle thrust of her chin lifted, she stood and hugged the pillow to herself as she walked over to the spot where the raven-haired girl sat with her knees to her chest.
Just as she was about to raise a hand, she blinked, frozen in her place as the poor girl immediately turned and threw up again.
Gabriela scratched her chin lightly, trying to figure out what to do. She hadn’t brought anything with her and didn’t make plans to bring anything that would prevent any sign of illnesses or injuries. She then decided that maybe just having a company would help ease the girl’s illness. She simply dropped herself to the ground and rested on her knees with the pillows in her arms with curious expression on her face.
Before she forgot, she pulled out a notepad and a pencil and scribbled something on it.
Feel better?
She laid the notepad on the grass and waited for the girl to finish her business.

So, the destination has been reached. A pair of golden eyes scanned the environment with keen interest; Noura’s nose lifted to the air as she took in the smell that surrounded her. Nothing much is new, except that she predicted that something is brewing out in the forest. One glance at her charge tells her that she was well aware of it. Nevertheless, it was apparent to the guardian that her charge did not show any sign of interest to protect the students. It had always been a curious thing for her to contemplate on; the way Shelar reacts and thinks.
With a slight angle of her head sideway, she watched some of the students. Some of the students, she noticed had met with its unfortunate fate. One threw up; another seemed to hesitate over the idea of her changing clothes, and one seemed to worry over the idea of having another klutz attack. Out the corner of her eyes as she moved further away from the bus, she spotted the third bus rolling up behind the second bus.
Ah, the Quick ‘n Dump Bus!
As soon as the driver emerged from its seat and opened up the entrance door; one of the particular animal, a black cat with a pair of silver eyes darted right in and out with a small wallet in its mouth. The white wolf couldn’t help, but quirk her eyebrows at the scene of a poor, pitiful man yelling at the cat nonstop, demanding it to let go of his wallet. The cat was already at its safe haven; high up in the tree.
All four paws moved forward, the guardian wolf’s mind set on one thing; just have a little fun and do some simple show. Before the driver could give up another ounce of his oxygen, Noura dashed straight at the tree and pawed at the side of the tree. Yet, she didn’t stop there, instead, she kept moving upward until she reached the fifth branch, the larger and stronger one which is where the cat resided.
It was indeed an odd sight to witness a large, white wolf standing like a cat (even though it isn’t ironically) on the branch with her head lowered, staring straight at the cat. “Mind giving up the wallet?” The cat didn’t seemed to register what happened until it stared at the wolf just a few seconds later until it spewed a high-pitch meow and fell right off the branch only to land instinctively. The wallet appeared to have been dropped on the ground. Still, the wolf hadn’t moved from her spot and only seemed to enjoy the view high up.
